Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy of RANELAGH GROUP, LLC d/b/a INeedASpeaker.com (the “Company”) is designed to describe the information the Company collects and how it is used to provide the services Company provides.  This policy applies to any user of INeedASpeaker.com and any web pages, mobile applications and mobile websites operated by the Company (collectively, the “Site”). By visiting the Site, you are accepting the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, and you are consenting to the Company’s collection, storage, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

1. Collection of Information

Company’s collection and storage of information will depend upon the services and activities you use on the Site.  Regardless of whether you register for any of the services or activities of the Site, all information you provide to Company will be stored by Company.  You represent and warrant to Company that you have the right and authority to give to Company all information you provide about yourself and others.  The following are the various types of information that you may provide to Company and the way in which it will be collected:

(a) Registration Information. When you register for the services of the Site, Company will collect and store the information that you provide on Company’s online registration forms, which may include full name, email address, home address, gender, birthday, phone number, username and passwords.

(b) Fee Information. When you register for services that require a fee, your payment information will be processed through Square.  Company does not collect credit card information and it is strongly recommended that you review Square’s policies related to collection, storage and use of your credit card or other payment information (information available here: https://squareup.com/us/en/security). Company will not be responsible or liable for any damages related any breaches of data by Square.

(c) Profile/Services posting. If you are posting a profile or information related to the services that you provide, Company will collect and store all additional information that you provide.

(d) Telephone and other forms of communication. Any information provided by you to Company through telephonic communications, post mail, email or chat will be collected and stored.

(e) Information provided by others. Information provided by a third party about you will be collected and stored by Company.  For example, if a third party rates or reviews your services, this information will be collected and stored.  In addition, any communications between individuals accessed through the Site will be collected and stored by Company.

(f) Automatically Collected Information. Company may automatically collect certain information about the computers or devices (including mobile devices) you use to access the Site and services, including the following:

(i) Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or proxy server you use to access the internet), your computer operating system, type of web browser and browser language.

(ii) Ways in which you access and interface with the Site, including referring and exiting pages, URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages and content views (including ad views) and other such views, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time you use the Site, error logs and other similar information.

(iii) Cookies are data files that reside on your computer, mobile phone or other devise and allow Company to recognize you when you return to the Site using the same computer (or mobile device) and web browser. Company may use Cookies and tracking pixels to collect information and customize your experience on the Site.

 

2. Sharing of Information

The information that Company collects about users is critical to Company’s business. The Company respects and values this information and does not want to jeopardize the flow of information between users and the Site.  Accordingly, Company is not in the business of selling information to third parties.  In certain, very limited circumstances Company does share user information as described below.  By using the Site, you agree to allow Company to share the information you provide in the ways described below.

(a) If you are a registered speaker, your name, contact information, including phone number and email, and curriculum vitae will be shared with visitors to the Site, including other registered Speakers.

(b) If you are a registered speaker, your information will be displayed in search results if your information matches the searched criteria.

(c) Company may disclose your information to third parties to its business partners, such as marketing companies, software vendors, consultants, adverting partners, and research vendors.

(d) Company may disclose your information when Company believes in good faith that such disclosure is appropriate to investigate, prevent or take action regarding possible illegal activities or violations to this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use or to protect the rights and property of Company, and Company’s employees, users and the public. Company’s disclosure of your information may include sharing your information with law enforcement, government agencies, courts and/or other organizations.

(e) Company may disclose your information to any individual or entity to which you have given your consent.

(f) In the event that Company is a party to a business transaction, such as a merger or sale, your information may be among the assets transferred as part of the transaction. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and agree to the transfer and sharing of your information related to such transaction.

 

3. Information Security

(a) Company has implemented a variety of administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect against the unauthorized access, destruction or alteration of your information. These safeguards are based upon the sensitivity of the information that has been collected and the technology available.

(b) To prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information, it is important for you to monitor those who have access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off and close your internet browser when finished using a shared computer.

(c) Although Company takes appropriate measures to safeguard information against unauthorized disclosures, Company cannot guaranty that information collected will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

 

4. User Access To Information

When you access your account, a variety of information is provided.  You are able to view and edit information that you entered previously.  Your information is sensitive.  Accordingly, it is necessary for you to protect this information and keep it current to have the best experience with the Site.

 

5. User Choices with Regard To Access of Information

(a) You always have the right to refrain from providing any information. Not providing information may have an impact on your use of the Site and on the ease of accessing the Site services or taking advantage of certain unique features of the Site.

(b) You are able to add or update certain information on pages such as those listed in your account page. When you update information, Company may keep a copy of the prior version for Company’s records. If you would like to have information that you have voluntarily posted, such as in a group forum, removed please contact company at useradmin@ineedaspeaker.com.  It is within Company’s sole discretion to grant your request for such removal.  You may also close your account through the account settings menu options.  If you close your account, Company may retain your information, if Company deems it necessary but is under no obligation to maintain any records related to a closed account.

(c) If you do not want to receive email or other mail from Company, please adjust your account setting regarding email contact preferences. You cannot waive the applicability of the Terms of Use and other legal notices, such as this Privacy Notice, and if you elect not to receive those notices, they will still govern your use of the Site. It is your responsibility to review these policies for changes.

(d) The “Help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have your browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Affecting the acceptance of cookies may mean that you will not be able to use certain features of the Site.

(e) Company may send to you periodic emails, newsletters and other electronic communications. You have the option to unsubscribe to any emails or electronic communications that we send to you by following the unsubscribe link provided.

 

6. Children

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.  If Company becomes aware that it has collected personal information (as defined in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. § 6501, et seq.) from a child under the age of 13, Company will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as practicable.

 

7. The Websites

This Site may contain links to third-party websites and services.  Company is not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or services, nor is Company responsible for the information or content they contain.  This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Company through the Site and does not apply to any third-party website.

 

8. Conditions Of Use, Notices, And Revisions

(a) By visiting the Site, you accept that your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and Company’s Terms of Use, including limitations on damages and application of the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If you have any concern about privacy at the Site, please send a thorough description to privacy@ineedaspeaker.com.

(b) Company reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use at any time. Company will notify you about and provide you with a choice related to material changes of this Privacy Policy or in Company’s practices as required by applicable law.  Material changes will go into effect thirty (30) days after notification is provided to you.  Non-material changes will go into effect immediately upon posting of the updated policy to the Site.  You should periodically check these policies for updates.  Your use of the Site after such effective date will constitute acceptance by you of these changes.

 

9. Your California Privacy Rights

California law permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from Company once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom Company has disclosed their personal information (if any) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the type of personal information disclosed to those parties.  As discussed in this Privacy Policy, Company does not share your information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
